Secretary Role
The Smash Secretary is the point of contact between members and the committee. As a member of the committee, the secretary attends committee meetings (up to 4 times a year) and contributes to the discussion and decisions.
List of essential duties and responsibilities:
- Venue bookings; contact venues for availability, complete booking forms
- Write and distribute committee meeting and AGM Agendas
- Attend committee meetings, being actively involved in discussions and decisions regarding the club, and take minutes
- Write and distribute committee meeting and AGM Minutes
- Communicate with members regarding session dates and session details
- Monitor the Secretary email inbox regularly to ensure queries are dealt with in a timely manner
- Protect members’ personal information in line with GDPR requirements
